Under the motto 'Together we strengthen open spaces', the Flemish Land Agency (VLM) is working towards environmentally and nature-friendly agriculture, climate-resilient open spaces and a vital countryside.
To this end, we connect agricultural and environmental goals, invest in complex open space projects, and facilitate partnerships. In this way, we address societal challenges such as climate change, the decline in soil and water quality, biodiversity loss, and rural viability. Together with local and supra-local stakeholders, we shape and implement open space policy, rural policy, and manure policy on the ground. In this way, together with our partners, we contribute to the realization of European and Flemish nature, rural, and environmental goals.
