Feed mixers

What

  • For many livestock farmers, feed mixers are one of the most essential tools on the farm. During this demonstration, 11 machines will be positioned side by side, mixing the same ration. A sample of the mixing results for each machine will be presented, so you can judge it for yourself. You can also look into the mixing chamber from a bridge, giving you a spectacular view of the mixing process live.

Then this is your chance! Under expert guidance, you can get behind the wheel of more than 10 electric machines. Will you step into the future with us?

Robotic weed control powered by Inagro and KBC

What

  • Agriculture is facing a major transition: fewer chemicals, less labor, and more precision. Robotic weed control offers an answer to all these challenges and contributes to a more sustainable food system. We present a range of innovative robotic weeding systems that take weed control to the next level. See how robotics, image processing, and smart algorithms are used to efficiently and sustainably remove weeds from young sugar beets and carrots on ridges, without manual labor or with minimal chemicals. Precision hoes and weed harrows complete the range.

Soil Island XL (with the support of LEADER)

What

  • On this island, we focus on living soil as the foundation for resilient agriculture. With field demonstrations of (direct) seeders, an impressive profile pit, complex green manures, and even grazing sheep, we demonstrate how agroecological principles can be introduced to your farm. The island is open to visitors at any time, and every day at 3:00 PM, we organize a guided demonstration with five direct seeders.

Guided visits in vegetable cultivation

What

  • The vegetable platform features a wide variety of machine demonstrations, including leek and cabbage harvesters, fully automated planters that plant leeks and cabbages at high speed, and more. Many vegetable seed companies will also be present. Check out their selection of leek varieties combined with the flowering plant 'Lobularia maritima,' which is part of an innovative biocontrol strategy and stimulates natural enemies of pest insects in leeks. Furthermore, as part of the 'KIEM' demonstration project, Viaverda will demonstrate various techniques that can be used to irrigate small-seeded vegetable crops for maximum emergence.
