Since 1 July 2011, the non-profit organisation Inagro groups all research and advisory activities within the province West-Flanders. Inagro takes over the activities of the former Provincial Research and Advisory Center for Agriculture and Horticulture and of its dependant non profit organisationsThe key tasks of Inagro are:

• Being a knowledge associate and center of excellence, through applied and practice-oriented scientific research for the professional sector and the agro-food cluster; this knowledge is spread through publications, courses and training
• Being a knowledge associate for the community
• Being a knowledge associate for the provincial services and  other  policy levels
    
• The operation of Inagro focuses in the first place on West-Flanders, but also on Flanders, Belgium and North western Europe.
